Losties Planning Their Attack

Possible Spoilers

Tonight we see the “game-changer”, the event that will change the scope of the series for the next 3 seasons. The question is what exactly will that be? How many answers will we get and how many more questions will be created in the process? A two hour Jack-centric season finale, coupled with the showdown between the Losties and the Others will undoubtedly provide us with topics of discussion for some time to come.

This is the official description of “Through the Looking Glass”:

SEASON FINALE - Jack and his fellow castaways begin their efforts to make contact with Naomi’s rescue ship.

Following last week’s episode, Charlie is in obvious trouble given his run-in with the femme fatales. Jack has been forced to expedite his plan with the Others fast approaching. And what of Locke? Will we have to wait until Season 4 to see his return?

Preview for Through the Looking Glass

Also, here’s a sneak peek.

Lost Jack

Tonight’s Lost episode is called Greatest Hits, which is apropos given that in the preview this week we can clearly see that Jack has something explosive in store for the Others. However, I cannot help but think that Ben may have orchestrated this whole occurrence and is basically still pulling all the strings. Say what you want about Ben, but he is definitely not an idiot and clearly understands that he can no longer trust Juliet. As we head into the season finale it will be interesting to see how this particular show sets us up for the final two hours and who will still be alive after the dust settles.

This is the official description of “Greatest Hits”:

Warning, Spoilers!

“Greatest Hits” - Jack devises a plan to do away with “The Others” once and for all, Sayid uncovers a flaw in “The Others’” system that could lead to everyone’s rescue, and Charlie’s dangerous task may make Desmond’s premonition come true. Wednesday, May 16 at 10/9c on ABC

Episode Preview:

You can also see a sneak peak of Greatest Hits.

Two things before we get into the post for tonight’s episode:

  • If you Google “Lost TV Show” you get about 77,000,000 results, so if you want to discuss spoilers, get the script for the season finale, or complain about the non-spoiler atmosphere this site attempts to offer, you have at least 76,999,999 more options
  • Most of the significant plot points for what is left of this season have been exposed on multiple websites; let’s try to keep that stuff off this site

Enough said about that. See you all in the comments after the show. Read them all before you add your own, stay on topic and have fun.

Ben from Lost

Another Lost wednesday is here and we’re all ready for tonight’s Lost episode “The Man Behind The Curtain.” A ton happening in tonight’s episode:

Spoiler Warning

  • Will we really find out anything tangible about Jacob?
  • What exactly will Ben expose to Locke about the Island?
  • How will Jack explain Juliet’s recording to the Losties? Can he restore their faith in him?

Given this is a Ben-centric episode; we should obviously get some answers about his true origins, what his role was in the DHARMA Initiative, and more importantly where the relationship stands between the Others and DHARMA. I believe there is a legitimate rift between Alpert and Ben and that Locke is the mechanism they will both attempt to use to gain the upper-hand in whatever internal struggle that is happening.

Official Description:

The Man Behind the Curtain, Wednesday, May 9 at 10/9c on ABC. Ben begrudgingly begins to introduce Locke to the secrets of the island, beginning with the mysterious Jacob.

John Locke from Lost

We’ve finally reached the best day of the week. Based on the Official Podcast, tonight’s no-flashback episode should answer a number of questions, and I am sure in typical Lost fashion, create quite a few as well. I am excited for all of these reasons:

Warning, Spoilers!

  • We will find out what Locke has been up to since we last saw him, and supposedly how his father ended up on the Island as well
  • Finally, the name of the not-so-mysterious parachutist will be officially revealed (AKA Season 3’s Worst Kept Secret): Naomi Doret for the two people that are still unaware, and yes, the name is of some “Dickensonian” relevance. More importantly, we will also get a better explanation of her understanding of what happened to Oceanic Flight 815
  • The Others - Why did they tuck tail and run with heavy artillery? Hopefully we’ll get that answer as well.

Put your thinking caps on folks, D&C are adamant that the “Purgatory” theories are not an option.

Here’s the official description from abc.com for the new Lost episode “The Brig”:

Locke tries to persuade Sawyer to help rid them of a great nemesis, and the survivors learn some shocking information about Oceanic Flight 815 on the next episode of ABC’ Lost. Wednesday, May 2 at 10/9c

D.O.C.

Sun on Lost

Tonight’s episode looks to focus on Sun and what effects the island may have on her pregnancy; based on what has already happened to Claire and with Juliet in the picture, things should get interesting in this week’s Lost episode “D.O.C.”

Also, we will find out more about the mysterious parachutist, what her connection to Desmond is, and what her role will be.

Caution, spoilers!

The April 20th podcast told us that we will find out who the real father of Sun’s baby is, and it was revealed that D.O.C. is the acronym for Date of Conception. The last few episodes have spent considerable time making us aware that pregnancy on the island is fatal, with the lone exception being Claire.

Here’s the official description from abc.com for the new Lost episode “D.O.C.”

“D.O.C” - After discovering that all of “The Others’” pregnant women died before giving birth on the island, an extremely reticent Sun allows Juliet to examine her — and uncovers the identity of the unborn child’s father. Meanwhile, Desmond allows an unlikely nemesis to help save the life of a new, mysterious island inhabitant. “Lost” Wednesday, April 25 at 10/9c on the ABC television network.

Catch 22

Desmond Hume on Lost

It’s the best day of the week again and personally I couldn’t be happier - tonight’s new Lost episode “Catch 22″ focuses on Desmond and one of his “flashes” from the future.

The last Desmond-centric episode “Flashes before your eyes” really played with the concept of non-linear time and free will versus determinism so it will be interesting to see if this episode reveals more about Desmond’s strange ability, or “lame super-power” as Hurley would put it.

Someone else with extraordinary abilities is the new manipulator in the beach camp. With Juliet around, things are bound to get interesting…

This is the official description of “Catch 22″:

Warning, spoilers!

“Catch-22″ - Desmond coaxes Charlie, Hurley and Jin on a trek across the jungle after experiencing one of his future-prophesizing “flashes” — but is he purposely placing Charlie’s life in harm’s way? Meanwhile, Kate turns to an unwitting Sawyer after seeing Jack alone with Juliet, on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

One of Us

Elizabeth Mitchel as Juliet on Lost

The stakes are getting higher as Jack decides to bring the abandoned Juliet back to the beach camp in tonight’s Juliet centric Lost episode “One of Us”.

The last time we got a Juliet flashback was in “Not in Portland” where we learned how Juliet, a fertility expert who managed to miraculously cure her infertile sister, was recruited to the island by Richard Alpert and Ethan.

Tonight’s new Lost episode promises more answers about Juliet’s past and might reveal more about The Others and the mysterious island.

This is the official description of Lost “One of Us”:

Warning, spoilers!

Jack’s joyous reunion with his fellow survivors is cut short when they realize that accompanying him is one of “The Others,” and Claire is stricken by a mysterious, life-threatening illness, on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Since the title is similar to the episode “One of Them” in which we first met Ben, and Ben turned out to actually be “one of Them”, maybe Juliet really is “one of us”?

Lost - Left Behind
Last week’s Lost episode “Exposé” was a nice little departure from the drama at Othersville, but tonight we’re getting back to the action.

Spoiler warning

Kate and Juliet will get to know each other a bit better and back at the beach Sawyer discovers that he might not be as popular as he is with fans of the show…

This is the official description of tonight’s new Lost episode “Left Behind”:

Left Behind” - After discovering that one of her own has betrayed her to “The Others,” Kate is left to fend for herself in the jungle with Juliet. Meanwhile, Hurley warns Sawyer to change his selfish ways and make amends with his fellow survivors or he may face a vote of banishment, on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Feel free to discuss your thoughts and theories on the Lost episode in the comments!

Lost's Nikki and Paulo

Many of us were confused when Nikki and Paulo suddenly popped up on the Lost island. Who are they? Where do they come from? Why is Paulo always going to the bathroom?

Tonight’s new Lost episode, “Exposé”, which is centered around the couple, will hopefully show us more about who they are and why ended up on the mysterious island.

The official description of the Lost episode “Exposé” is as follows:

Spoiler Warning

Hurley begins to suspect that Sawyer may be involved in an island mystery surrounding two fellow survivors, and Sun learns the truth about her past kidnapping attempt by “The Others,” on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

John Locke in Lost - The Man from Tallahassee

Lost has really been gearing up lately, delivering great episodes each week. I don’t know when I was this excited to see an upcoming episode… alright, it was last week, but with the ending of last week’s Lost episode “Par Avion” things are really starting to get interesting.

Kate, Locke, Sayid and Rousseau have traveled to “The Barracks” to save Jack and Rousseau’s kidnapped daughter Alex. But apparently Jack has been better off than they thought, because in the last shot of last week’s Lost episode, he was smiling and playing football with The Others.

In tonight’s Locke centric Lost Season 3 episode, we will find out why Jack is in such a good mood.

This is ABC’s official description of “The Man from Tallahassee“:

Warning - Spoilers!

“The Man from Tallahassee” - Ben tries to persuade a determined Locke to call off his destructive plan by offering him some of the secrets of the island, and Kate’s reunion with Jack does not go off as planned when she discovers that he has made a deal with “The Others,” on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Regulars know the drill by now - feel free to comment and discuss the episode in the comments but make sure to have read all the comments before adding your own and don’t repeat things that have already been said. Have fun!
