Holy [censored things I shouldn't offend anyone by associating with "holy"], people! I don't wanna give anything away in case someone is reading this before viewing on their ReplayTV or TiVo.

DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE...WE'LL ALL BE DISCUSSING WHAT YOU'D CONSIDER SPOILERS AND, TRUST ME, YOU DON'T WANT THESE SURPRISES RUINED.

So anyway, who saw THAT coming? Or THAT? Or THAT? Well, OK I bet a few of us saw the last one as a possibility, and maybe we all heard the rumors about the first two, but who believed it would happen so soon? Or in this manner?

Interesting how the ep started off with a turnabout on what our perspective should be regarding the Others: that things may have been fine on the island before the crash survivors came, or at least the "worst" of them, as the Others see it. The survivors are the killers, as (not-really-)Henry spells out.

Nice way to set the tone and even give Michael a possible road out of being purely evil. None of us thought he was before, and the producers have shown a knack for making things seem one way and then always turn out to be the opposite, as well as a willingness to use race to divert us from what's really going on.

Who thought Michael was lying about the Others when he said they all wore rags? And they showed Kate's face? Kate who saw that the rags and fake moustache and worn clothes were really just costumes when she visited the other hatch? Seemed odd he'd tell them that; it was obvious he didn't know they knew.

What else did people get out of this episode? So many goodies, I don't want to mention them all. =]

Spoiler:

Michael killed Anna Lucia, then Libby walks in, and Michael immediately shoots her as well. Then Michael opens the room with the prisoner (Anna Lucia had given him the code). Michael enters the room, looks at the prisoner and turns the gun slightly towards his own arm and shoots.

What happened was pretty freaky. First Michael shoots Ana Lucia right in the chest. Then he looks ashamed and stares at her. The Libby shows up and says Michael?! and he whirls around and shoots her twice. She drops like a stone. Then he goes and unlocks the locked door where the prisoner is and walks in and stares at him. Then without a word he shoots himself in the arm and the episode is over.

Seems like Michael is under the control of the "others."

Do you think the others are some sort of cult formed from people stranded previously....after whatever happened with the experiment....and now Michael is brainwashed???

Why do they keep talking about good and bad? Didn't Anna Lucia do the (good)thing by not shooting Henry?

Thing is Michael was surprised Libby walked in and seemed to shoot her unintentionally. So when Michael came out of the jungle it might have been a setup. Jack brings him back to the hatch where he can spring Henry. My guess is that Henry will be gone next week, at least from the hatch and Michael will be saying that he (Henry) got the gun from Ana, shot her, Libby and Michael and left.

Holy **** is all I have to say. The one week I didn't read spoilers, and I'm definitel surprised. I guess the lesson is, don't drink and drive, kids... you'll lose your lucrative TV contract.

As for what I think of this one... I'm thinking the Others probably threatened Walt, and that Michael would have to bring them back some 815 people (leading them into a trap). I think he will shoot himself and then claim that FakeHenry shot him, and shot Ana & Libby, and then escaped, so that he has a good story that everyone will believe. I don't think it makes him an Other himself, I think it just makes him stupid and desperate (and blackmailed by the Others).

I'm still in disbelief over it, all the same.

Are we pretty sure that the woman at the door in Australia is Sara, Jack's ex? Which would make the man she had an affair with Christian, his father? And would also make the pregnancy test she took positive... because they had a daughter together?

The woman in Australia spoke with an Australian accent, not likely Jack's ex.

Holy Crap!!! Where did that come from? I can't decide whether or not to be happy that Ana is gone - I've never liked her, her arrogance made me mad, but that was such a sudden and unexpected death that I dont' know what to think.
Micheal is clearly under the influence of the Others, the 'we can take them' thing is a trap to get them to parade out there. But the show tends to lead us down one path and then veer onto another, so who knows. But if he truly was one of them now, he wouldn't have shot himself in the arm (putting the blame on Henry).
I read the spoilers, but heard nothing of this!
Way too much to work over, this'll be a heavily posted-on episode.

What was it that FakeHenry told John? Right when he divulged what seemed like some super secret, my 6-month old son rattled his toys all loud. Something about John being good, and the head Other killing FakeHenry because he failed his mission? What was his mission?

Ha ha at least my TiVo didn't cut out the last minute!!

Wow! This episode left me pretty speechless, I understand why they they had to kill off Anna, but did it have to be so sudden. One minute she's there and then bam she's arrested and killed. Of course those aren't both in the show but still.

Someone has to find out what 'the fake Henry Gale' said to Anna before he attacked her? It could be interesting.

The name is sooo perfect for this episode.

Spoiler

I can't believe they are all dead, Well Anna and Libby anyway. Why wouldn't Michael shoot FakeHenry? Won't he be in big trouble when he gets back the Others?

And I thought we were going to see Libby's story and why she was in the mental institution with Hurley?

hey, new poster. anyways, doesn't anyone think it's kinda weird that they (producers/writers) are integrating the flashbacks of the characters much more? there must have been at least five characters (jack's father and ex is making sense) shown in this nights flash back. i am betting that any characters not shown in tonight's flash backs will be shown next week.

it is almost predictable that black mail by the others is being done. So far the others have not show signs of regret, yet when michael shoots libby, it is pretty obvious that he didn't mean to kill her and he says sorry to anna. what is confusing about that story line is that henry said that he would probably be killed, so why would michael create a plan that makes it extremely possible for henry to escape? this easily could lead into jack's chase after him and/or a ridiculously awesome others encounter.

i'm not sure if anyone remembers, but a while ago when jon jack and someone else were exploring the hatch for the first time, there was this room that had some magnetic field that really seemed random, and there has been to my knowledge anything connected to it. does anyone think this might be related to those hieroglyphics and whatever happens a bit after the blast doors come down? i think this magnet somehow is connected with those question marks jon saw. just an idea.

P.S. on the drawing on the blast door, all those circles that i'm guessing were hatches were connected. wouldn't someone have noticed a door that leads to a corridor? hmmmm.

It definitely wasn't Sarah at the door. Christian was saying "I pay the mortgage on this house ... I want to see my daughter". I'm expecting that we'll find out later that one of the other survivors is actually Jack's half-sister who he's never met.

Ok.... I think Anna and Libby are gone for now, but their characters and the storyline they fill is too important to be gone for good. Give it until mid way through season three before we see them back. It is another curve ball.

New poster here -

I am thinking that the little "tailie" girl is Jack's little sister. Anybody have any thoughts why they kept showing Ana Lucia's ring or what the symbol on it is?

I did hear Michelle Rodriguez say after she left her sentencing hearing, that she needs to "get back to work and make some money". She did volunteer to serve time rather than community service. I guess she has a lot of free time now and wants to get it over with so she can get back to the mainland and get a new gig. Not too bright, that one--

Libby character has a new show, too. I knew her days were numbered but who would have expected it this quickly. So glad I watched it tonight since everyone will be talking about it. My hubby has to get up early so he opted to watch TIVO tommorrow. Don't know how I am going to keep my mouth shut about this one -- guess that is why I am posting this.

Just a theory, but if Jack's dad's affair was an old one (years ago) then the daughter (jack's half sister) could be claire. I only say this since I first thought that's who jacks dad was talking to, probably because of the accent.

To those of you with DVR's that "cut out", there is a way to adjust your global settings so that the DVR records for 5 extra minutes after a show (and/or before it). It may make sense to change your DVR if you find you are missing the end of shows.

As for the episode, I'm too stunned to write.

Terrific episode! I am definitely liking where this is leading to... (hopefully) a superb season finale!

A couple of points: I don't think Michael is being brainwashed, he wouldn't have apologized to Ana-Lucia before shooting her, if he was. I believe that he is being coerced by not-Henry's group to help not-Henry escape. They have most likely told Michael that they will kill Walt if he doesn't do what they want.

The Australian woman (definitely Australian--the accent is dead-on) who Christian went to see, is old enough, imo, to be Claire's mother. So, Claire could be Jack's half-sister, which would make Aaron Christian's grandson, and Jack's nephew. Just speculation, of course.

More spec: Either Libby or Ana is not dead... or not quite dead. One of the two will come around long enough to denounce Michael, AFTER a war party has already gone to confront the "Others". :-)

well, apparently the producers was pretty tick off at michelle and cindy for getting in truoble with the law and simply just wrote them off the show! but I kinda had a feeling michael is just being a desperat dad that will do anything to get his boy back unfortunately.

Part of comment removed by admin, please, no spoilers!

Has anyone considered that Libby is not dead? After replay(and slow motion) the first shot looks to have missed, the second looks like it may have hit the lower right abdomen.

I think it’s also obvious that the others ARE killers, at least of those that they say aren’t ‘good’ people. Fake Henry seems to fear something much more than anything the crash survivors can do to him. Remember that there are Para psychological experiments on this island. Remember the Whispers. If you’ve ever listed to what they say, it’s almost as if they’re watching, but cannot be seen. This could be part of the “experiment” with human behavior, the island being a big skinner box. The whispers may be observers… they may be able to communicate with the others, but haven’t revealed themselves to the survivors. I don’t know who the whispers are, but if some of the translations of them are accurate, they could talk directly to Henry. Michael could fear something much more terrible than betraying his fellow survivors. (see Fake Henry’s apparent fears). Remember, they DO have is son. There could also be some sort of mind control. From his behavior at the end, it almost looks as if he does NOT want to do this, but is being forced to do it against his will. It will be interesting to see if there are “whispers” hidden in the tracks such as when Fake Henry was interrogated.

So, my prediction? I don’t think Libby is dead, at least not yet. She will regain consciousness at one point and tell on what happened with Michael. She may die, but not before we find out where Hurley knows her. (HOWEVER, since the actors who play Libby and Anna Lucia were both involved in the DUI incident, it could be that this was their “farewell” night after the show… so she may die)
They are already suspicious of Michael story to a point because of the rags/barefoot comments. I didn’t consider him as an “other” but thought they had put on a show to get him to send back misleading information. and I think that’s what Jack and Kate had thought.

It seemed way out of character for Michael to have shot the girls out of desperation. He must be brainwashed somehow. Knowing his back story, ex wife and all, he can't be an other. It was way too coincidental for Michael to pop out of the jungle when Jack and Kate were out there. I think that Kate mentioned something about the Others probably dropping him (michael)there, but Jack poo pood her , saying that Michael probably heard him yelling and found them that way. Pretty good radar for someone 1/2 out of it, dont you think!! Can't believe Anna and Libby are gone!!!

Hi all, another new poster. Here I was readying myself for Locke to betray everyone by freeing Henry and leaving with him (let's face it, Locke's been a sucker for a good story, hasn't he?) So here are a couple of thoughts I don't think I saw on earlier postings:

1) Jack's father gave Anna the pseudonymm "Sarah," which happens to be the name of Jack's ex-wife. Any significance (learning there are not a lot of coincidences on this show!)
2) Anyone notice that the guy Jack's father whacked with the car door in front of the cocktail bar (after his talk with Anna) was Sawyer?
3) Was the cocktail bar near the place where Sawyer shot the "wrong" guy - can't remember if he did that in the U.S. or in Australia? Or was it inside this bar where he met Jack's dad?

I also agree that Libby may not be dead. I think the mysterious link between she and Hurley will lead to another weird twist in the plot, and so far as I know, besides the one time we saw the dead Boone in a Shannon flashback, they haven't usually "brought back" any of the dead cast members in a flashback. And in this case, there is more to Hurley's past - there always is, isn't there??

I had a question and two comments.

Question: Henry said to Anna Lucia that she had killed "two of us." She didn't deny it. I know she killed Goodwin, but I don't recall her killing anyone else, other than the guy who shot her in San Francisco and Shannon, neither of whom were "others." I recall two other "others" who attacked the tailee's camp were killed, but I thought Ecko killed them. Who is the other "other" who Anna Lucia killed?

Comment: I don't think Michael is in league with the others. I think he couldn't get Walt back, so he is trying to incite a war by framing Henry for shooting him and for killing Anna Lucia and possiby Libby. If he were in league with the others, he wouldn't have framed Henry; he just would have helped him escape, which he could have done without killing anyone.

Comment: Why was Hurley lost in the jungle? He kept ending up in back at the camp even though the secluded beach was only 3 kilometers away. He should be pretty familiar with the area around the camp by now. Was this some kind of comment about not excaping one's destiny (i.e., Libby was going to get shot, no matter what)?

An OTHER would have had to kill witnesses. The idea is that Michael is a mole... He's working for them, but it may be against his will.

Anna had to die to keep his cover. How do you explain Fake Henry's escape without a struggle? Anna has a gun, and she has a motive.
When they arrive, it will LOOK like Anna went to kill henry, he was able to kill her, then Libby and Miachel when he came to assist. This way, michael is still a agent of the others in the survivors camp, such as Ethan. I believe michael will be locked up, but it's possible that someone could leave before this information is known(Locke and Ecko?)

A couple other things that I wanted to mention...

Anna DID kill someone on that "others" raid. I believe it was a woman, I seem to remember that this is the one that had the list of names.

Another detail.... Libby was carrying blankets. Both shots hit the blanket. If you showed it in slow motion, the first angle looks as though one misses her abdomen to the right, the other to the left. The next scene, you see the holes in the blanket, but the hole looks to be in her lower stomach. Injuried to this area tend to produce a slow and painful death... but since there IS a doctor and some medication available. It's conceivable that she could survive.

Another first time poster here. I'd like to add to Spencer's observations. I also noticed that Sawyer was the one that bumped into the car door. At the same time, we now know that Jack was in Australia in order to transport his father's dead body. I'm wondering if the "wrong" guy that Sawyer killed was Jack's father (a con job gone awry, perhaps?).

No, Jack's dad was not the guy killed by Sawyer, he met Sawyer at this bar and told him about being produ of Jack, then kind of convinced Sawyer to go ahead with his kill when it sounded like Sawyer had gotten cold feet.

Okay, so I guess I missed out on what the Hanso foundation is exactly. Is it the foundation that sponsored and created the Dharma Project? And what's the story with Alvar Hanso - did he show up in an episode at some point?

There is only specualtion on who is Alvar Hanso at this point, but the Hanso Foundation was mentioned in the filmstrip that Locke, Jack, and Eko watch in the Hatch. Also, they had a fake commerical during the episode last night.

I think Jack's dad fathered one or two of that women's children, who were also the two blond kids from the tail section who got taken by the others. They, at least I think, were on the plane with their mom en route to Jack's Dad's funeral in L.A. to pay their respects, even though that woman clearly wanted nothing to do with Jack's dad in real life. The kids probably don't/didn't know that they were going to the funeral or anything about Jack's dad. Their mom was killed in the crash, "where's my mommy?"...this may not be what actually happens later on, but it is cool to think about.

Okay, I'm off to a final, but here are my thoughts:
Not Henry said that he failed- that he had been sent to get Locke because Locke is "one of the good ones" ("good", again. good for what? perhaps good to be experiemented on- has anyone thought of that possibility?)

Michael shows up. "Hey guys, guess what! They have a hatch, too."

And we ALL know who's going to be searching for that other hatch- Locke. Not only was he the one fascinated by the hatch originally, in the first season, but now he's seen that map. So Locke goes off to find it, with whoever's help.

Does this seem like a trap to anyone else? Whether or not Michael is cooperating with the Others because he wants to or because he's been brainwashed/blackmailed/whatever, I think he was sent to finsih the job that Not Henry failed.

A few quick things: I also noticed Sawyer, I thought of Claire immediately when Jack's dad was at the house arguing with the woman, and I think that Michael and Not Henry recognized each other... I was actually waiting for Michael to use Not Henry's real name. This could just be wishful thinking on my part.

I think Henry will escape now but I really hope that isn't the end of him. I don't think he will return to the Others- I think that he's too scared to, and I think he might be hanging out close to the Losties' camp and not crossing that line again. He's such a beautifully constructed character, and I really don't think this is the last we're going to see of him.

I've been waiting for a Libby back story, and I really hope that she's not dead. She was interesting and we hadn't really learned half of what was going on with her character yet- I'm ready to learn more about her, and I'm hoping that she's alright.

I'm gonna be late if I don't leave but I'll definitely be checking up on these comments later- this is my favorite place for all things LOST. :)

I'm with everyone who says Michael is NOT brainwashed, for all of the reasons mentioned. He's a desperate dad who will do anything to save his son, and for whatever reason, the Others wanted Ana Lucia dead. It's clear he didn't want to do it, but the survivors have done a LOT of ugly, desperate things since they came to the island, and it's no wonder the Others are trying to protect themselves.

What I don't understand is why everyone thinks Ana Lucia and Libby were written off the show for their DUIs. Is LOST really shot just a short time before it airs? This isn't South Park or Law & Order's "ripped from the headlines." Wouldn't this episode have been shot six months ago, or more? Isn't it more likely they didn't work on LOST anymore when they got arrested?

Amazing shock value last night! Good posts, too. I was anxious to read what everybody thinks.
I don't think Libby is dead, but I do wonder if Henry is gone.
Just thought of something. "Hanso" is an anagram of "Noahs".
I don't want to be too critical of the actors, but I think Michelle Rodriques did a pretty average job last night. Her emotional range is pathetic. When she changed her mind about shooting Henry(!), it was really weak. I still don't think it makes any sense, based on her performance. Calling her mother from the airport-- unmoving. Then her death was just as average, despite its tremendous storyline. If she's gone, I say all the better.

Yeah! If it's a BEACH, why wouldn't they walk for 3km down the regular BEACH until they got to the secluded BEACH? I know, I know, to surprise Libby, but if it's that nice, it's still gonna be a surprise. Good destiny comment though. They mentioned fate a couple times in this episode. Of course it's going to turn out to be irrelevant in the end.

I notice no one has mentioned Non-Henry's conversation w/ Locke. That he is dead either way because he "failed" in his mission to bring Locke back to the Others because he is "good".
I believe the "He" is Alvar Hanso

No one also mentioned what I believe is a pivotal comment by Henry to AnaLucia, that Goodwin thought she could become good but that he turned out to be wrong. If we are to believe Henry in this remark (I know, that's a stretch), it would mean Ana was "bad" when she arrived on the island.

Poor acting job aside, she did seem to make amends with her mother right before boarding the plane. Would this mean she had conquered her demon? Are the "good" people the ones who haven't or simply can't conquer their demon?

Does this seem like a trap to anyone else? Whether or not Michael is cooperating with the Others because he wants to or because he's been brainwashed/blackmailed/whatever, I think he was sent to finsih the job that Not Henry failed...
Interesting thought. Perhaps Michael agreed to trade Locke for Walt, and so his real objective in returning is to get Locke to head out towards the Others.

Also, does anyone find any significance in Jack appologizing to Locke, admitting that Locke was right about -Henry?

I think the apology to Locke is going to indicate a willingless to work together more, something which the Others won't expect. Many have felt that the Others are a sort-of all-powerful, completely in control group, but I never believed that. I think they are arrogant and overconfident. They expected Ethan to be successful, they didn't expect Henry to get caught, and they didn't think Sayid would dig up the grave. Likewise they are expecting there is an unhealable rift between John and Jack which they can exploit.

I know this is a fan site but does anyone think Lost has gotten too far away from the "survive on the island" idea that it began as?

Where did Locke get those brand new aluminum crutches? Are they part of the standard medical kit in the hatch? Is it expected the numbers tapper might break his leg, splint it and need a brand new shiney pair of crutches? Or is the excuse that they were on the flight and salvaged for some reason.

And now there is wine? These people are trying to get off the island why again???

Its like a 7-11 opened just down the beach already

c'mon already

I agree that it's getting a bit crazy, but then again, supplies are falling from the sky (literally!) for some strange reason. I'm expecting that we will get a good explenation for all this sooner or later.

Regarding the crutches, I believe that they where salvaged from the plane, though I also feel that it might have been a bit more believable if Locke was using improvised crutches built out of branches or something.

Concerning new items....
Serveral episodes back, when Hurley and Libby were doing laundry, she Libby noted that the washer and dryer seemed newer than everything else. I also noticed that the stovetop is a very recent ceremic top range, they all look state of the art. Nice stuff!

They get all new appliances, but apparently not new music, and they're still using a turntable, no CD player, no VCR... even the exersize bike is vintage. I don't get it... but maybe this was done intentionally(note the Libby comment).

Oh.. and another thing on Libby... Her getting shot falls in line with the "numbers curse" of Hurley's friends and loved ones.

The there is scene with Sayid digging a hole with a Gilligans Island style "shovel" made out of bamboo

And all I am thinking is "what, there was no backhoe in the hatch : ) - or at least a nice shiny brand new home depot shovel?"

I mean if your equipping a joint like the hatch I would say a shovel would be higher on the list of supplies than crutches

First time poster here...okay, I'm not sure if this qualifies as a spoiler, but I had read quite a while back the theory that nobody survived the crash and the "survivors" are in purgatory, trying to redeem themselves to make it to heaven. The others are, for lack of a better term, angels that take the "good" people on.

Interesting theory and with each episode, I keep that in the back of my mind and have yet to doubt its credibility. Makes ya think, huh?

One more thing...maybe ABC didn't boot Michelle Rodriguez and the other gal for the DUI; maybe they were out drinking because they just filmed their last Lost episode.

Libby is dead. The pool of blood flowing out on the floor was so big that even Jack can't save her. Michael didn't look like he wanted to kill anyone, so he's probably operating under duress, has to do this stuff or Walt is toast.

Why didn't Sawyer notice his gun was missing after his encounter with Anna Lucia? He doesn't notice until the confrontation with Jack? Please!

Well during the last Lost Podcast from ABC they said they were shooting the last episode of this year at the same time that they recorded the show. Since the Podcast contains questions from the last show it looks like they don't shoot episodes six months before they air, but maybe three weeks before...

Libby and Ana did not die on the show because of DUI offscreen. I am 100% sure of that because on Good Morning America (abc 7 am-9 am), Michelle was interviewed and she said that her contract was for one season and she knew she was going to die since the beginning.
I really hope Libby isn't dead because I want to know why ahe went in the asylum. Three (or two) girls died this season(Shannon, Ana, Libby?) leaving us with only Kate, Sun, and Claire as the only main girls left!!

Don't forget about Danielle as one of the girls. I also think (and hope) that next season we will be seeing more of Alex.
I think it's about time we got a Danielle flashback, that would be interesting.
Oh.. and another thing on Libby... Her getting shot falls in line with the "numbers curse" of Hurley's friends and loved ones.
yes!

1) I don't think the kids had Austrailian accents, can anyone confirm this?

2) I thought that by Ana not killing fake Henry, it proved that maybe she /is/ good? Perhaps he told her something when the camera cut and we will see it in a later episode. hmm.

3) I can't help but think if the others wanted fake Henry, they couldn't just take him. Any of them for that matter. My thoughts are they have bigger fish to fry and the 'bad' ones don't need to die, the 'good' ones will be taken, lured or tricked (in the case of Henry's mission) whenever they please.

Does anyone find it interesting that both Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) and Libi (Cynthia Watros) were both arrested and charged with DUI and rumors were out there stating that both were creating a lot of problems in Hawaii, seems like some creative editing for the show…

My vote is on Micheal being forced to chose between Walt and Henry, easy pick for him. Cudos to the Lost writers each week things get more and more interesting and tangled.

Has anyone checked out that Hanso Foundation website? If you go to sign up for the newsletter, put in a username and then when asked, put in the password "breaking strain". Weird stuff from Persephone comes up. Not sure who that chick is, but the creepiness continues.

Wow its been like a month since i posted

1. I think that more people are going to get cut off. Smokey hasnt been in the show in a while, and last season in the last episode Locke was about to get pulled into a hole. He said "i think theyre testing me; let me go". Maybe talking about knowing that the others are there.
2. I think that lock is going to go to the fire hatch with someone else. They might find two people there pressing buttons. Locke will think that the whole island is a setup and stop them from pushing the buttons; causing a volcanic eruption. just a thought.

Henry told John that because he had failed his mission, the "leader" was going to kill him. John then asked what Henry's mission had been. Henry then told John that before he got caught in the French woman's trap, he had been coming to get John himself! I didn't believe it. Henry's is probably just trying to get inside John's head. He is an "other" after all.

I agree that Libby probably isn't dead. We do have to find out what Libby was doing in the nut-house with Hurley!!!!!!

9mm bullet to the chest...dead...9mm to the hip...shock...trama...blacking out....dead?...probably not, but she's going to have a limp. As for Mike, I don't think brainwashing is what is going on...no MK Ultra here, more like "do as we say, or the boy dies...slow". I figure he didn't like Ana anyway, and as for shooting himself, well I think the only thing that would drive him to that would be the love of his son.

I am really frustrated by this show. I was a faithful watcher, bt the show has descended into chaos. The plot credibility is thinning (Sawyer not missing his gun for hours, food galore, Jack not even wondering about Micheals story when he knew the sophistication level of the "Others" and fake beards etc., the incredible flashback coziness with all the characters, all seeming to be in the same place and time long before the crash, to the point of nausea, and now they are killing off all the interesting characters who still had a lot of story left. Its getting pretty ridiculous, and they are definitely going to lose viewers, who have had enough of all the contrived mysteries that seem to be just made up at the last minute. There is no direction to this show anymore, and I am very disappointed. Anybody can do anything at any given moment, for no reason, and that is the weakness. need another mystery to fill 5 minutes left with noting to do? Lets make killer black smoke that drags people around and pops up once a season. Guess they killed off all the polar bears, and boars too. Glad no no wonders where the food drop came from.
These people are dumb, and deserve to be in the insane asylum that they are ALL in in reality, getting experimented on by Jack's Dad.
I am pretty much done with this mess. Want some cohesive action that has you on the edge of your seat all this time, and at least is a little more plausible, when compared to this? Watch 24.

Anyone notice the similarily between how Sayid broke his girlfriend out of the prison in Iraq and how Michael seems to be breaking not-Henry out? Both are considered enemies by those who keep them prisoner, but there are two sides to every story.

Who else noticed the Evil Twin book again? not the first time we've seen this... hmmmmm?

I think that it is highly probible that Clair is Jack's half sister. There would be no point in letting viewers know that Jack has a sister unless she would come into the story, which could only happen on the island. The woman at the door was
1) blond
2) had australian accent(lived in Australia)
3) semi-young, but old enough to be Clair's mom (Clair is a young mom herself)
4) I dont remember Clair saying anything about her dad (Ill have to check on that)

Jack's father probibly did some investigating while he was in Australia (again, apparently) and probibly found out that his daughter (Clair) was pregnant - why he would want to see her so badly, since Jack and ex had no kids... also so that he could kinda start over with his other child and be accepted maybe.

I doubt that the woman at the door would have even told her daughter much about her father, or even know that he had died. So I doubt that the daughter would be traveling to LA to his funeral if she didn't know.

Also, about Michael, he obviously didnt find the Others (as the 'bearded' man told Jack when they first met) "Don't worry, he'll never find us" or something like that. I think that they found him and told him that they would give him Walt back if he did whatever for them, exploiting that weakness of his. They don't threaten to kill, but Michael would do anything just to get Walt back.

Or its possible that Michael didn't find anything. He could have searched for days and found nothing and headed back towards the hatch to try and convince Lock and Jack to try and strike against the others as a group, knowing it would draw out the Others, by saying that he knew where they were.

Just a few thoughts...

Who the heck is Alvar Hanso? Someone please fill me in!!!
I'm glad they kicked Michelle Rodriguez off LOST. This show calls for CONVINCING actors, and she was just too emotionally dead in how she delivered her lines. Sorry she got shot, but hey...
It was really sad though, when Ana was standing behind Jack at the airport, and she overheard him arguing with the lady at the desk. Think she knew? And how did Christian die, anyway?

I quess when Ms. Rodriquez was saying she would rather pay for her crime by serving the time and not doing the community service, she knew her days were numbered. Why do 250 hours of CS when you could spend a couple of days in jail and then just leave Hawaii behind.

lesson of the day: if you ever get a part on Lost do not drink and drive cause they will kill you off!

When Micheal first returned he made comments that led me to believe that he and the Others were setting a trap for the "losties" (i.e. not well armed, we can take 'em, only about twenty Others). I haven't been able to tell if Micheal was specifically told to kill Anna Lucia or if he shot her because she was guarding Henry and would be a hinderance (at least) to his release of Henry. It seems as though his shooting of Libby was accidental. I don't think he is brainwashed. I do believe the Others have given him orders (what, exactly, I don't know - lure the "losties" into the Others' trap; release and return Henry Gale) in exchange for Walt or Walt's wellbeing. What if the Other's have invited Micheal to join them - he can afterall breed special people with special gifts (Walt).

What if Micheal's description of the group of Others he first came across was true (that were weak, helpless, and feable) and they are outcasts of the Others' society - sent away now that they're useless to the community. So many questions...

Also, am I the only one who noticed all the Super Blue Eyes on this episode. With Henry Gale talking about "good ones" it makes me wonder if the producers were marking the "good ones." I'm not sure yet who all was "marked," but I definately noticed in on Hurley and on Jack. Their eyes were noticably Bright Blue, but just in certain scenes, not throughout the episode. I don't have Tivo, will someone please
