Good one. I’ll add this one to my list too. Seems like we got them tossed in our supper dish really early in the season, and we got all excited at the interesting new ‘kibble-n-bits’ they added to the show, but production really hasn’t returned/FB’d to any of them, except when we see Dan with FB Des in “The Constant’.

My coffin guess is Desmond. I too wish for freighter backstories ( damn writer’s strike). They said in a podcast they got cut this year but were planning for next year.

jaime brought up “the coffin”… i would assume(probably wrongly) that is one of the “oceanic six”. does any one else have any guesses or theories?

The casket has been on everyones mind for a year… they may be bringing it back for finale time too. Hope they don’t tho. It’s been OA6 this year and we heard that two others survived the flight, but did not survive until rescue. That’s two we have to figure out plus the casket. Three bodies to account for???

I could see where Claire might show-up as MIA from the OA8.

Des and Michael are freighter-bound. I think you could rationalize that one of those two are in the casket, now that things are going poorly where they are. The casket scene is about three years into the future. Maybe the freighter is stuck in time that long, before it is recovered. Michael is known to the OA6 as a traitor… Des as a trusted friend. Why would no one go to Des’ memorial service? Unless he really messes things up on the freighter.

So, do you think we will FINALLY find out who is in that damn coffin tonight??? Yes, yes, i said the C word…i have this funny feeling that it’s going to be Locke. Not quite sure why or how,just a feeling I got today.

I think it’s Michael for two reasons: 1) no one really cares for him because he left his friends with the scary others bound and with guns to their heads(which is why Kate said, “why would I go to HIS funeral?”) and 2) it’s in an African American neighborhood and he’s African American.

I have to go by my memory because there are so many posts, but I’m pretty sure we discussed the newspaper clipping about the death that Jack had in the Season 3 finale and it had a “Jo” which some of us speculated was John Locke, but later learned of Michael’s new identity as Kevin Johnson, which Jack and Kate are privy to (somehow). The newspaper death announcement said he committed suicide (though it must have been a murder because we know Michael cannot commit suicide)…

Re: New York… “Michael’s Oceanic plane tickets that he receives from Brian Porter are tickets for flights from Sydney to New York. He is the only character we know of that was on the plane but was not going to Los Angeles”.

Well, maybe (if it is Michael) his mom doesn’t know he is dead. I can’t imagine her NOT coming if she were able to do so. She might have to say it is a family member, or make up a story, but she would be there, and Walt with her. Most likely she doesn’t know the name he has been using, and was not notified of the death. Even a confused and distraught mom is still a mom.

During comic con, they released an new orientation video for the station called the Orchid. In quick terms, the Asian looking Doc is talking and holding a rabbit with the no. 15 painted on it. While he’s talking somthing happens and suddenly there is another rabbit with no. 15 on it. There is some yelling about who screwed up and not to let the rabbits near each other. People are assuming that the expirementing going on was time travel and someone messed up and overlapped times creating the same rabbit from two times appearing at the same time…….

It feels like they’re throwing us curveballs to take our minds off the 95 mph heater coming down the middle. You can bet the Kansas City Shuffle is coming and when it does we’ll all be caught off guard.

We’re still a long way from all six of the O6 being in one place at the same time. Sayid and Kate are captives of Mr. Eyeliner. Jack is with Sawyer somewhere else. Sun is on the freighter with Aaron. Hurley is outside the Orchid Station.

When I saw Jin on the Zodiac, I figured that Daniel would freak out and not want to take it back to the island again and that Jin would step in and do it and that is how he would end up separated from Sun. But obviously everything is still up for grabs.

Yeah I am hoping that gets answered. Why do they all lie anyway? I would want to find my husband unless I know he is dead….I just don’t understand why they lie or if they are told to do so, unless they are protecting the island and people on it.

And if they have that HUGE army led by ageless emo eyeliner guy, why were they in hiding in the first place? i mean they outnumber Keamy’s guys like 15 to 1

If Jin dies it would seem that Des dies too!! I hope that doesn’t happen without a Des/Penny reunion. I am trying to figure out how Sun is gonna get off that boat as well. Maybe she decides to use a tube or something and the helicopter flies over and sees her. Still I don’t think it’s actually gonna blow cause like I said….what happens to Desmond?

I liked how they showed the O6 arriving in Hawaii, meeting their families, the press, etc, so they got those obligatory scenes out of the way. I prefer that to having that scene at the end of Part II.

I have to go back and rewatch the scene where the Oceanic rep explains how they “survived” and were found.

Also, all the explosives are wired to Keamy. His death would equal the explosion of the boat.

I was thinking that the finale for this season would be 06 getting off the island, looks like we will have something more shocking in store. I love and hate the season finales!

The numbers don’t make sense. Sun’s dad’s company is huge. How could a settlement from the crash give her enough to buy a controlling interest in the company? It makes sense all of the survivors get a hefty settlement, but not that big!

Thats why he new the captain would not shot him. So Kemmy dies, The boat and everyone on it go.

Also Ben tells Locke to go down the elevator and just walks off. He never told Locke what he was supposed to do when he got there. Or maybe he knows what he is supposed to do already from Jacob/Christian.

And why would the Oceanic 6 lie? I hope the people back on the island do not die. Hopefully they warp to a different time on the island. Since the island can move and all maybe the island can also allow alternate ‘island’ time zone where all the lost peeps (who we think are dead) can still live and come back to inform the LOST folks who are still alive in the messed up ‘time warp island’ and save the day. Maybe that is where the emo hippy others live on a regular basis.

They were at the “Temple” that is only for “us” according to Ben. Temple has to be a place or time that they can hide.

I didn’t like the fact that Kate, Hurley and Sayid got a front row seat at Christian’s memorial service. Not very realistic - other family members or friends of Christian would have been in front of them. (yes I’m being nitpicky, but it just struck me as too “Hollywood-ish”)

Sun’s father likely started selling shares to get more money. He only had to have more shares than anyone else to be the controlling interest. 51% NOT needed. If Sun bought more shares than her father, she becomes the controlling interest.

I agree with you RD, the settlement would not be enough to buy into a major Korean company
