Damon and Carlton review “The Man Behind the Curtain” and preview the next episode “Greatest Hits”.
There’s an interview with Dominic Monaghan who plays Charlie on the show. Dominic discusses the possibility of his character dying, his acting career, his relationship with the other actors and his musical tastes.
The Man Behind the Curtain rehash touches on:
- The possible glimpse of Jacob
- The purging of the Dharma Initiative by the Others
- Ben’s realization that John could hear Jacob, the significance of that, and then Ben shooting John.

Dom has some weird tastes in music! I agree with some of selections, Keane and Kasabian, but Corine Bailey Rae?!
Some would say Charlie deserves to die for that :p
Nice interview though, and as always Damon and Carlton are their entertaining selves - giving away just enough information to make things interesting, and to make the wait to the next episode seem like a lifetime away!
I’m still not convinced Charlie will die this week though, seems way too obvious for the producers to take us down that route - if I’ve learnt anything from watching this show it’s that I’ve not learnt anything yet!

I’m not sure why DL/CC continue to do these podcasts. Three-fourths of the podcast is them making stupid inside jokes w/ each other, and the rest of it is them not answering the 5 asinine questions they choose from listeners.

Well the the blogs are posting spoilers that describe the major plot points of the final two episodes.
If they’re right, the series make a MAJOR turn without really explaining much.
I think it’s so lame that people on this blog are still discussing whether Locke survives or not. The readers of this blog are really missing out by not be able to discuss these spoilers. Just means more traffic for the other blogs. At the end of the season’s final episode, all the good discussion will already be on the other blogs.
Namaste. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t have all the Apollo bars you want.

Okay… so I REALLY dont want to go through the 9 trillion comments on last weeks epi. SO.. can someone enlighten me to what was seen of Jacob?
I know I’m stuck in the 90’s but living out here in small army town, AZ we dont have tivo or DVR available sooo.. all I can go on is the 1st running and then abc.com which isn’t always that clear.
So… please enlighten someone that misses the city and all the technology that comes with it.
THANKS GUYS!

Well…. We basically get a side profile of a guy (from his shoulders up) but shadows pretty much obscure most of the details of his face. From what we can see he looks like he is at least in his 40s, has hair and stuble and (to me and many others) looks kinda like Locke… his nose shape, chin profile and three clearly defined wrinkes on his forehead all match with Locke. The hair thing is odd though?!

One substantial piece of information from the podcast is that they explain Ben’s motives in taking Locke to see Jacob and then in shooting Locke.

Bizzy:
So go read those other blogs, and get outta here. Many Lost viewers, like myself, would like to discuss what has already happened in the show without finding out about what will happen in the future through a stupid blog rather than watching it on the television screen. Its the “aaaahhh!” moments of Lost that makes it so good; anyone who rather find out that information over a computer screen instead is just cheating themselves — and that’s fine, if that’s what YOU want to do. But Lost viewers who would rather not do that should have a place to discuss what’s already transpired. Frankly, it’s “lame” that people like yourself come on here and post psuedo-spoilers like: “If they’re right, the series make a MAJOR turn without really explaining much.”
I really didn’t need to know that. I rather find out tonight at 10pm.

Kevin- Thank you!!
Bizzy- Be constructive, don’t complain about Lost unless you want to discuss your complaint.
Hm, seems like someone has trouble understanding some of the rules, even though they’ve been told quite a few times.
Comment 13, posted 1 year, 7 months ago - Quote and reply
Hm, I just realized that my quote from the rules don’t really fit this situation, but I think another one should be added to not complain about this blog because it is not only rude, but annoying as hell when you’re trying to sift through the junk posts like some, if not most, of Bizzys.

Damn it, I meant ‘doesn’t', not ‘don’t’. Ok, I’m done now. Sorry.
Comment 15, posted 1 year, 7 months ago - Quote and reply
Okay, first off.. thank you guys for linking me to the still frames.
So, I’m understanding that the speculation is that ‘Jacob’ is ‘Locke’? I don’t think that this ‘figure/person’ looks like Locke at all. Understandably there is the long hair (hey.. maybe the island can cure baldness too… Bernard is in luck!) but I dont think that it’s Locke in a wig.
Also… anyone notice that while Ben has gotten older on the island Richard (and I’m assuming his crew) have not?

I can’t deal with Bizzy’s spoilers. Talk to you all again on May 24th.

15 comments here (now 18), 700+ on the orignial thread for last week’s episode, another 70+ on another thread for last week’s episode, but who’s counting?

Both of these issues were discussed in much more depth on that other thread. It’s interesting reading (mostly), if you have the time.
A few people (not everyone) have speculated that Jacob is Locke, a few others have speculated that Jacob is Christian (Jack’s Dad). I agree with you that he doesn’t look anything like Locke (nor Christian).

Personally, I think Jacob looks a lot like Roger. The nose is VERY similar, and thats Jacobs most defining physical trait.

Exactly, is obviously too hard for Will and the gang to catch this stuff timely…but we know who the offenders are…so just ignore their posts until they get deleted.

I agree…not Locke, Alpert, Ben, Pen’s dad, etc. I think he’s someone related the statue. I think this island’s inhabitants go WAY back in history and Jacob is from then. “I dont’ know what more disturbing, the fact that it isn’t finished or that it only has four toes” - Sayid.
