I believe Jacob is Jacob Deyer, one of the crew of the Black Rock. It seems all the major players in this storyline begin with the manifest of the Black Rock (http://widmorelaboratories.com/). We've already met Richard Alpert, the guy that recruited Ben into the "Others." I'm betting that Captain Magnus Hanso, along with either or both 1st Mate, Alexander Widmore, and 2nd Mate, Clifford Widmore got off the island. The Hanso family of the Hanso Foundation found the island again and starting exploring its secrets with its Drama division. The Widmore family of the Wilmore Corporation has been helping the Hanso Foundation, but might be searching for the island again since Drama lost the island to the "Others." I base this on the new information provided by Find815.com that seems to indicate that the Maxwell Group, a division of the Widmore Corporation is looking for the island. In summary, it looks like Jacob and Richard are opposed to Hanso and Widmore from using or taking secrects from the island, which points to a class conflict theme.

In summary, it looks like Jacob and Richard (enlisted crew of the Black Rock) are opposed to Hanso and Widmore (officers from the Black Rock) from exploiting or taking secrets from the island.
Something I just caught, completely by accident.

In "Further Instructions", Boone says this line to Locke in the Sweat Lodge:

***Don't worry, you'll speak when you have something worth saying

In "The Man Behind the Curtain", Horace says this line to Ben as he arrives on the island:

***I bet he will (speak) when he has something to say, right Ben?

Thoughts? Any signficance to the similar lines?
I miss Boone :(

Another thought, if the woman with bullet hole had a tag that said "Main" (I thought someone pointed that out), and is Annie, maybe she was a destined higher up and in Ben's way of getting in control of the island. They introduced her to us, but didn't say who she was, who her parents were, etc. He may have had to kill her after the purge because she wasn't cooperating (I say after the purge because her body was on top of the pile)...much like Locke is doing now. He is doing whatever it takes to get to his "destiny".
That was me but, I don't know who all wore the main logo - was it heirarchy or location?

Between you and me, I don't think the skeleton is Annie and I don't think Annie is Danielle. Although I threw that out there about the red head - I don't think the red headed girl is Danielle either.
I would like to know your thinking on the dead woman. You mentioned you were working on a theory. Ready yet?

How did Mikhail know about Naomi's ship? Naomi told Desmond and Sayid about it when she was back at the Losties' camp. Mikhail wasn't around to hear her tell them. Maybe that is one of the things Naomi said in a foreign language when Mikhail was helping her.
She said she wasn't alone (he translated it as her saying thank you). Since he knew that her heli crashed, the only logical conclusion was that she had to have a big ship near-by.
That all makes sense, but he also said something like the ship was "120 clicks away". That doesn't seem like a piece of info he could have inferred, she must have told it to him.
So there's a possibility that Ben put a bullet in Annie's brain? I like that possibility, it further illustrates what a douche he is. It would also explain why he looks so nostaligically at he doll. If he killed her because "she was a sacrifice the island demanded" (thank John Locke) it would help us understand how cruel these people are.
that would be AMAZING!!!! if annie isn't danielle *which would make me cry :'(* i would want ben to kill her as a sacrife to the island. her dying while being preggers is just a stupid reason to me.
