Possible Spoiler

Over at ABC.com there are a bunch of promotional photos for “A Tale of Two Cities”. They all look good and show scenes from the episode, but there is something very strange about one of the photos.

Mysterious girl in the aquarium

Who is the little girl in the aquarium with Jack? Either someone at ABC are having fun with us or this has to be from a scene that got cut.

Thoughts and ideas?

  1. Maybe it goes along with the cut scene of Jack watching Sarah and saving the little girl. Maybe the girl appears in the cell cuz he’s dehydrated.

  2. Slightly reminds me of Sawyer from ABC Sneak Peek where the scene in the cage sawyer said “if I need your advice i’ll ask for it karl” and in the episode he didnt say karl so this could be a gaff.

  3. Actually, it looks like one of the kids from the back of the plane who got kidnapped so long ago.

  4. Wow, I’d be surprised if ABC made a mistake that obvious. Seems like it was put online on purpose.

  5. Probably from the sequence with Jack saving the ’s life. Juliet said that he would hallucinate. And about the “Karl” thing, you can tell that the word “Karl” was cut out of Sawyer’s sentence in the episode, it ends rather choppy. They probably cut a scene in which Sawyer learns his name.

  6. Looks like they removed that picture. I looked through all of them the first time, then read about this, so I looked through them again and never saw it.

  7. where i looked on the site and went threw all the photos and it is not their

  8. Yeah, the image has been removed now. It was number 33 in the set before. I guess we weren’t supposed to see this.

  9. Does this break the no spoilers rule?

  10. I don’t think it does, since it wasn’t actually in the episode, lol.

I’m not sure.. When I posted it it was part of a set of photos from an episode which had already aired, but since ABC has removed the photo I suppose it might be a spoiler.

Do you think I should remove the post?

  12. Well, I think it depends on how you define “spoiler”. Some sites define spoilers VERY strictly, as in anything that is not shown on the show itself… and so they consider previews for the next show (that everyone sees at the end of the show) to be spoilers.

On our site, we’ve always had a looser rule, I’ve thought. For example, we mix in Lost Experience posts, which likely contain spoilers. We have podcast information, which likely contain spoilers. We talk about interviews and Comic Con comments.

Bottom line? We simply don’t know if it’s a spoiler. There are sometimes deleted scenes which aren’t included, but not necessarily because they reveal anything amazing. THey could be deleted because they slow down the momentum of the show. They could be deleted because they changed their mind, and they want to go a totally different way with the storyline. I suspect in this case, they deleted it because it is something they want to reveal later, but we can only speculate. I’d say leave it in and let other people make up their minds based on the “Possible Spoilers” tag.

  13. I agree… I think that she’s the little girl that was kidnapped from the tailies camp. I think that’s the same outfit she had on… plus carrying a teddy bear. I’d have to go back to my S2 DVD and look.. but to me it does look like her. Alot.

  14. i was looking at the pictures that the link posted to, and i found it interesting that on picture 38 on the season three shots showed jack and the psychologist talking to each other through the glass. what was interesting was that at no point in the scenes that i remember did we see jack with water, but you can tell that there is a book bag in his room with a bottle of water sticking out. maybe i’m just splitting hairs, but that doesn’t seem like the kind of slip up that would be made. i mean, nither of them had a book bag to begin with right?

  15. Sorry, Austin. I’m pretty sure the book bag with the bottle is on the psych’s side of the glass. I imagine it’s hers.

  16. Removed faster than you can say ‘LOOK AT THE LITTLE GIRL IN THE CORNER’.. terrible

  17. I am so glad you guys noticed the Sawyer knowing Karl’s name too. I thought I might be going crazy.

  18. There are 2 ways this can go.
1 It is a deleted scene that will end up on DVD.
2 It is part of a future episode, since he may be in the Water cage for who knows how long…

Either way it appears it is a whoops by ABC and not your fault.

  19. In the “Lost, Inc.” NYTimes article, I think [maybe it was somewhere else], they said that they cut a ridiculous amount from the premiere to get it to broadcast length - like 20-30 minutes.

So probably this is part of that. I bet it’s Jack’s hallucinations . . .

  20. If the girl is from the tail section, how would Jack’s mind know to hallucinate about her? Plus, she’s pictured with him, not him seeing or even looking at her. That would make it the viewer hallucinating. Gotta be something else.

  21. I am pretty sure she is not from the tail section but there was rumor about a scene at a playground that included a girl (spoiler? or cut?) as far as Jack not looking at her it is a photo of maybe him waking and finding her in his cell or is it a holding tank?

  22. I’m just going with the way they have shot the show so far. When Walt, the horse, Jack’s dad all appeared, they were seen by the character…not with the character and the scenes were shot as the view of the character and not us viewers.

  23. Maybe it’s Alice. You know. The one who followed the white rabbit down the hole? I wonder if Frank from Donnie Darko is next…

    =]

  24. I read a spoiler of the episode that was posted on humpys.net. There was a scene described where a young girl, one of Sara’s students told Jack not to trust Sara. I don’t remember seeing that scene in the show. Perhaps this is that scene.

  25. JoshSpazJosh, do you have a link to the “lost, Inc” story? I couldn’t find it.

It seems very strange to think that they would bother filming 20-30 extra minutes worth of footage knowing how much time they’d have alotted to the program…

Still the episode was pretty lacklaster, so maybe…

  26. Well if you remeber that walt could flit in and out of places maybe this girl is the one from the other camp and she has the same powers as walt, i saw a clip that showed what all the different dharma stations were and there was one that had to do with telepathy and being able to transport from one place to another, maybe this has something to do with that and they kidnapped the children to take them to the research station

  27. on what Austin said earlier, i went back to the pictures and checked and he is right, there is a book bag with water in it on JACK’S side, it is clearly on jack’s side since they reflection of it in the glass is on juliet’s side also the glass wall doesn’t start until about two feet from were the bag is.

  28. Did anyone else notice photo 11?

    abc.go.com/primetime/lost/gall...

Lost season 3.. tale of two cities.. photo 11 - we never saw those two ‘grabbing’ her and removing her from the table - and you can clearly see a gun coming from behind them (a third person?)

To me this would add to the thoeries that she may have been raped (the handcuff marks, tears.. obvious distress)

Im pretty sure that was in the episode that aired. I remember when they were walking her out of the shower area and they first went outside you could see that Tom had a gun in his waist and there were two heavily armed guys walking behind Kate.
Like I’ve said before. I just think that she struggled to get free when they were trying to take her away. Any one would do the same thing.

  30. Okay… so both Robbie and I have decided that the mystery girl is DEFINATELY the little girl from the tailies camp. If you go to the abc photos…. go to season 2, pic 20. It looks JUST like her. Down to the t-shirt. It just seems that she has a jacket on over it. Take a look.. Im curious what everone thinks.

  31. it is gemma the who got captured by the others

If you look at it.. your right. It IS on Jacks side of the glass.

The gun that you see is on the guys back, the strap that is over his shoulder shows this

  34. WEll I didn’t read thru just a ouple of these. WE know the girl is still alive so she will definately be on again. So maybe this is just a future scene we weren’t supposed to see, maybe on tonight’s episode??

I looked back at the pictures for EP3 and the book bag is on the same side as Jack… It is too far over in the corner and sitting next to a concrete wall to be a reflection…

  36. This nice is very good, i will recomend it to my friends and partners
