Lost was almost shot in Australia

According to an article by the AAP, Lost was originally planned to be shot in Australia or New Zealand. Lost exec Bryan Burk talked about the topic at the Lost season 2 DVD launch party:

“We had set up a whole trip to go there.”

“Australia is famous for having incredible actors, incredible crews and that was immediately what we thought about doing. We were going to Queensland and we were going to have a look at it and at the eleventh hour we all decided instead that if we could make it work in Hawaii we would.”

  2. They’ve both got google adsense ads on them - so they are absolutely NOT part of the LOST experience - simple as that.
