Here’s my two cents. I think I’m taking a new direction in my thoughts about everyone on the island. Ben knew that he would meet Sayid when he was a boy. Some how Sayid doesn’t remember. That’s how Ben knows so much information about the future and uses it against the hostiles (as grown Ben is the head leader in the future for the “D” group) The reason Ben needed to go back and pushed the wheel is because he wanted to reverse time and use the Oceanic 6 to help kill off the hostiles and win the war. Remember everyone’s nose started to bleed. Someone mention( I think Faraday)that anyone who has been on the island before nose would bleed. Therefore Sawyer and the others had to have been there before. I believe that’s why Ben went on his murdering spree was because he knew what was to come. In one of the seasons the “D” group had Sawyer piling rocks and he asked Juliet why he was doing it and She told him they were building a runway. Ben knew that he was going to have the other Oceanic 6 come back and as we seen tonight the plane landed on a cleared runway. Which I believe the earlier Sawyer was building when he was captured by Ben’s group. I believe Jack’s father Christian use to work on the island as a doctor a long time ago. He went back and had a family, but he too felt the island calling him back, but he didn’t want to leave his son, so he too began to drink, just like Jack was drinking for the same reasons. I believe who ever Christian was working for knew Jack was bring him on that airplane and caused it to crash, so he could bring Christian back to life(Just like the island brought Locke back to life. That’s how Christian knew what to tell Locke in the well when he was telling him about him pushing the wheel). I have a lot more theories about what’s going on, but this is enough for now. Tell me what your thoughts are. (I’m sorry if I confused some of you)

You might have something there, although this is info some have gleened (from unreliable lostpedia):

In “Not in Portland”, Richard Alpert showed Juliet a scan of a woman in her 20s, though they seemed more fitting of a woman in her 70s in terms of signs of reproductive capability. Juliet was told that this would be one of the things she would investigate on the Island.
# It has not been explicitly stated that this problem was solved by Juliet’s research, or indeed even actually existed, but we know that while Juliet was on the Island, women were dying after becoming pregnant, suggesting that infertility was no longer an issue, if it ever was to begin with.
# Island males, on the other hand, see their sperm counts multiply five times normal, so that in each, uh, dose, contains 300 to 400 million sperm. (Healthy normal sperm counts are 40 to 50 million per sample.)

While D&C would neither confirm nor deny that Rousseau is dead, they did remind us in their last podcast that being dead doesn’t mean it is the end of the story and essentially alluded to there being a Rousseau flashback – though it was not clear if it would be HER flashback or that she would appear in another character’s flashback.
