Hi, i would like to suggest to all Lost fans to read 'The third Policemen'. This book gives heavy insight into solving some of the more important questions in Lost.

Damon Lindelof's interview about this book can be found on wikipedia if you search the third policemen by Flann Obrien.
Since we know that they are not in limbo or pergatory, it seems possible that they are in hell. It would explain how Dez in "re-seeing" things or "time traveling". In Lost, maybe you don't have to be dead to be in hell, maybe they were recruited onto that flight to arrive in hell to be futher tested. To be released back to our world, sent to heaven, or left to repeat life over and over in hell?
