As far as I’ve figured, you have to have mIRC to do this, you can download it at the mirc.com website. Once you do that, you can go to options, under the dropdown for Connect, click Servers. Gamesurge is in this list… click that, then click Random server. Click ok, it will connect you. once it connects, type /join #lostpedia, and there ya go! Hope that helps

So, I found the IRC channel, but its FILLED TO THE BRIM with random bots more than actual people, and they spam the channel with random nonsense. There seems to be one guy who’s job it is to say “squee” anytime anyone says “wednesday”, which gets just about as old as it sounds just as quickly.
