Yahoo News reports that Gameloft, one of the worlds leading developers and publishers of video games for mobile phones, is set to confirm an exclusive multiyear agreement with ABC and Touchstone Television to develop and publish games based on Lost.

“The success of both ‘Lost’ and ‘Desperate Housewives’ has been unparalleled. Both shows have a huge following with deeply loyal fans, and we are confident that Gameloft, with their creative and talented pool of producers, will exceed those expectations and develop a game that captures the defining essence of each show.”

said ABC Entertainment and Touchstone TV senior vp of business development Bruce Gersh.

Any details or storylines of the Lost game or games are not yet known, but Gameloft are reportedly working with the writers of Lost to “ensure authenticity while adding new elements and introducing original story lines”.
