I am reposting this video because I think there is enough here to merit comments. This could be a self-parody, or it may appear in Season 4 at some point (thanks Hammer), but I think it’s more legit than not given that ABC.com has also posted it. Mentions of cloning, time-shifting, Jacob and a gorilla on a bicycle… I am getting excited for Season 4!
What are your thoughts?

Hey Bloggers it’s been awhile. I saw JACOB IN THIS, DID ANYONE ELSE??? Right after Doc holds up rabbit watch for closeup on his face, then by gosh a very quick flash of the image we called Jacob last season. OH BOY…ANY THOUGHS….

i also see a frame from an early dharma film with the bearded guy from the university, and i believe a frame of the dharma office building the hanso photo was taken from
and i think both rabbits have the same number 15 on them yes?

he mentions a casimir effect in the video which has somethings to do with quantum physics and causing negative energy or some such, or also used to stabilize worm holes is what I’ve got from reeding up on it.
Not sure if intended but the I’m not suppose to shine I’m a… is kind of funny or actually means something because the casimir effect has a lot to do with light.
I think the casimir effect is going to be a major part potentially.

i dont think taht was a gorrila on a bike, i think it was a sort of upsidedown world possibly. Just maybe parallel universes might show up in the next season!
does anyone know what the sagnificance might be to the building snapshot?

theorynut - I managaed to pause the video at that point and the image doesn’t look like Jacob to me. Rather a man in seventies-ish fashion and some other people in the background.

The upside down bike video looks to me like a person in a Dharma jumpsuit similar to Mikhail’s. The buildings in the background remind me of the Other’s compound.

Hey guys… What do you think the creepy numbers will have to do in the next season? Will they be back? Has anyone else realized they are used quite often? (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) i.e. Flight 815, $23000 reward for Kate Austen’s catching, 16 years spent for Danielle on the island, 42 people at one point on the island that they mentioned…stuff like that? any comment?

i think the identical rabbits refer to the theory of time travel… if an individual travels back in time and meets his past self and they touch, they implode! because it’s some kind of time-paradox…

i just had a thought about the “numbers”,
what if you will have to watch episodes:
4 (season1) + 8 (season2) + 15 (season3) + 16 (season4) + 23 (season5) + 42 (overall) to get a straight story?!?

The bearded guy in the flash is Gerald DeGroot. The “God Loves you” flash comes at the time when the shift occurs. Notice right after the flash (and before the whatever falls off the shelf) that the microscope on the shelf is turned around and the desk lamp is askew. Don’t know if that means anything since the film is so chopped up anyway. Just thought it was interesting that they don’t notice the shift until the duplicate bunny knocks something off the shelf and they see him.

Were there any pictures of the actual building in Narvik?
I was curious to see if the dark thing to the left was a sculpture. I looked on Google Earth and I spotted the buildings in a couple of the photos of the city. When I tried to find the buildings on the arial, I couldn’t make them out. Where I thought they may be in reference the the Mirror Pike - there is an octogon on the ground - just a fountain I think. Thought it was a funny coincidence.

Not wanting the two rabbits to get near each other and the reason for the count down during the encounter??? I could only think of the meeting of Jacob and Locke in the cabin when Locke got too close after a short while, then all hell broke loose…hmmm

Hello all,
Just a random thought but i think this was a teaser to let us know when season 4 will start. Right before holding up the Rabbit with 15 on it Hanzo shows the number two with his fingers. Feb 15th maybe? It is a friday which seems unlikely though…any thoughts?

The thing which falls is a capped glass flask I’m pretty sure if you watch the video again there is one in front of the cage when he takes the rabbit out.

sam- Here’s a crazy thought. The reason it only effected the rabbit is because whatever it is that was “reset” was being tested on the rabbits because they were “just learning…” which is why are numbered. Now for the crazy part…the thing they were testing was then made on a larger scale (the whole island) and the “reset” was set for every 108 minutes creating a parrallel time which is where the island is now. Dez turned the fail safe which allowed the island to be seen again and the “bad guys” are on the way to get their hands on the technology so they can RULE THE WORLD(evil genius laugh).
Someone correct me…

The scientist used the name Haliwax, or something like that. The “wax” portion of the name is consistent with the other names he used, Candle and Wickman.

Brainstorming:
*Burning the candle at both ends?
*A candle in the wind?
*Birthday candles (possible ref. to Ben asking Alpert if he remembers birthdays?)
*Wax figures look real but are fake. (a metaphor?)
*Candles only burn for a short time…maybe he is being “cloned”** because the “reset” only lasts so long?

Good thought sam. Since the Flame was the link to the outside world or “current time”, maybe his mutiple “times” or “clones” had names that are associated with flame so that the monitors from “current time” would know which “time” they were talking to?

Perhaps, It means nothing the lot of it they are just trying to keep us sweet because it is a long wait. The flashing images of a building it doesnt make sense, But when they talk about the time shift is a mystery and where is the orchid??????

I loved your posts guys! I am a newbie to this site, and am really missing Lost.
I’ve tried other sites, but they just keep rehashing the old stuff, which is good, but,…boring! I can’t wait until next season!
I watched the video. It seems that there is some kind of duplication going on. Whether or not it has to do with cloning, or time rifts, shifts, etc., I do not know, and cannot guess,….but….I LOVE IT!!!
I’ve been looking for a chat site regarding Lost, but nada. Anybody aware of any good ones? If so, please post them! Thanks!

Ok guys…I rewatched the video again. Here are my thoughts:
1. The background of the video appears that the good doctor was superimposed onto the background.
2. I don’t think this doctor is the same doctor(s) we saw before. He seems shorter, and his facial composition is different. Look closely,…this guy’s face is shorter, etc.
3. The editing filter is one that Premier (Adobe), added to it’s lineup, just lately,…which gives the aged effect, and the filter wasn’t used properly. It’s not an expensive filter, most anybody can afford it. I do this for a living, and the person who did this, did not do a good job.
4. If it was legit, it would have been shot on 8 mm, not on modern film/digital media,..Lost has the budget to do it.
I wish it was real, but sadly, I do not think it was.

i don’t know if there’s any connection.. or if it’s worth mentioning..
and yes guys i did notice that the microscope on top of the shelf near the second rabbit was changed..
also i’ve noticed that on the left some of the things were missing.. could it the fault of the production assistant.. or was it meant to be shown that way.. i must admit lost have been really particular with their details..
by the way guys has anyone noticed that black smoke that hit the planes engine in season one?
