Hmmm……

Okay… I have a different theory that at the moment doesn’t QUITE add up, but it’s pretty mental! I think that this flash sideways was NEVER supposed to happen, OR it’s inevitable and was ALWAYS going to happen. So here it is – I think David and Aaron are going to end up being raised under the same roof – the shepherds roof… David and Aaron…. Jacob and the man in black? I reckon that is exactly what the fortune teller in Oz was trying to avoid happening when he told Claire to get on the plane. I just have a feeling that David is going to turn out to be the man in black. A really gut wrenchingly irritating feeling….. can’t wait to find out the truth.

for what it is worth…I agree that Jacob wanted Jack to smash the mirrors! I also think this was so MIB could not utilize them.

I think the disk is full. All 360 images have been taken by the camera that is the lighthouse.

But even concerning major events, ancient(?) beings like MIB and Jacob still seem to believe they have control over them.

Jacob and MIB both want the loop to end. But MIB doesn’t want that result if it means Jacob is alive, and Jacob doesn’t want that result if it means MIB gets freed.

I still think schoolteacher Ben will turn out to be homicidal in the sideverse.

And the idea about the 6 gathering, mentioned by someone above, is a brilliant and near-certain conclusion. A wedding would be perfect.

I am an avid reader, but first time poster. I don’t think this has been mentioned which is surprising because I find it so clear. It is in regards to on island/flash sideways Locke:

When Locke was still Locke his mission for the island was to gather all of the Oceanic Six and bring them back. In the Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham we see this gathering, and Locke comes to the realization that this will not occur (hence the thought of suicide). In the flash sideways Locke I believe that he will gather the Oceanic Six. We see him meeting many characters from the island, but when he meets someone from the Oceanic Six he receives their information in something physical (Jack – his card with his name and number and Hurley with his contact info to get a job). I believe that this will continue to occur and in some event (I am still not sure yet what that is – Locke’s wedding maybe? even though I think that is a stretch) they will all be gathered. I am not exactly sure what will happen when they gather – whether it will be when the two time lines converge – but I believe that this is one of the ultimate goals of the flash sideways.

Helen ripped up Jacks card so Locke now has no way of getting in contact with him, thats not to say theres no way of Locke finding Jack, but i dont think Locke would go thru the trouble for a stranger…

What you just made me think, (off the topic a bit but…) Locke may have his “Constant” moment, where he is flashed between realities. Making him flash through the MIBs concience instead of his own, since his concience is owned now by MIB… which could be why MIB chose Locke… or maybe something MIB isnt prepared for… If what you say about Locke is true, then maybe it comes down to the fact that the “six” are meant to replace another six… which may have been replaced sometime before by the “dark” side. Since the initial six has already been reduced to five, its time to start picking up in the next reality…
