Looks like even after the summer’s over, things will be sizzling hot when LOST comes back on the air in October…

According to a TV Guide Interview, show producers have confirmed that they will be adding actor Rodrigo Santoro to their fall lineup of LOST cast members. He has been dubbed a “Brazilian Tom Cruise”, and has acted in such movies as Love, Actually and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.

“We don’t really want to be at all specific about what we’re doing with the character or what he’s going to play,” Cuse told TVGuide.com. “Part of the surprise and the enjoyment of watching the show is sort of getting a chance to meet a new character and see how his role is going to unfold in relation to the rest of the cast.”

Another actress, Natasha Henstridge, separately confirmed that she will be joining the LOST cast in a recent exclusive with the Philadelphia Metro. She played the sexy alien in Species and a recurring role on Commander In Chief. No details known about what role she will playon LOST, but there are rumors that it is one of a strong-willed mid-30s lady who will challenge Jack’s authority.

Lastly, according to Reuters/Hollywood Reporter, actress Elizabeth Mitchell, best known for her recurring role on the hospital drama, ER, will also be signing on with the LOST cast. Sources say that she will have a role on the show as Jack’s love interest, though it is unknown if this will be on the island or in flashbacks.

It’s been apparent from recent interviews and press releases such as THIS that there will be some serious spoilers in The Lost Experience (the article says we will find out what the meaning of the Numbers are in the webmaze, which we haven’t yet).

However, I understand that not everyone has the time or inclination to play; but some people may still want to hear spoilerish info that comes out of it. Got a few requests to write this, and it’s somewhat long (so I’m including it in an off-blog link), but hopefully written in a way that can be understood if you only watch the TV show and cuts through the details of individual clues.

There’s a new thread up at the ROT backsite (don’t forget, password = “Steinbeck”), where BroadBandBeatnik tries to redeem himself after accusations of being a traitor, by posting a picture of him at ComicCon (as his alibi, saying he didn’t upload the Mittelwerk commercials). However, it doesn’t appear to be an image of the LOST panel… anyone know what panel it actually was?

Entertainment Weekly’s column by Doc Jensen also has a new Rachel Blake interview article. It’s a quick read, and pretty funny, so I recommend it. I considered for a while maybe Rachel was dropping real hints about where to find other glyph/codes (checked Amazon’s listing for “Three Days of Condor”, for instance, which also happens to fall on my top favorites list of spy movies… but nothing so far).

Just updating with new codes and where they are found so far. As of 13:17 EST, there are 11 known found out of 12 total released fragments. It appears that the pattern is that they are mostly given to “insider” bloggers (official ABC puppet blogs of Speaker, Lost Ninja, and Other Girl), as with as one on Rachel’s own page and one in Entertainment Weekly’s article (they have had insider exclusives for LOST in the past, and have an ongoing relationship with TPTB; considered “partly insider”).

Quick, everyone, sign up for http://www.hansoexposed.com. There have been a LOT of new developments since this morning, shortly after Rachel’s outburst during Comic Con (see below for spoilers for both LOST & TLE from Comic Con). The site has gone up, and is asking us to find fragment codes on the site, which are always found with a glyph symbol (read the instructions over there). Two were found already on the actual site by some TLEC guys:

1) 7HKBH < ---Found in opening sequence introduction at hansoexposed
2) RRGYXS < ---Found on instructions page of hansoexposed
3) 4HO < ---One code seen on the wrist of one of the ComicCon panelists, on a large slap band bracelet (supposedly on Damon's wrist for autograph sessions)

4) OHGE <--- Speaker ‘was emailed’ an image of another wristband (likely the writers, seeing that none of us had found it yet, decided to give us this hint)

There may be more to come, though probably on other sites and in other places. So far, the rumor that the codes may be on the trading cards given out on the Comic Con floor have proven false.

Yup, I said I wasn’t going to post until Monday, but sadly here I am.

I just had the most harrowing time, as they cancelled my flight to San Diego, and long story short, the one they put me on would have made me miss Comic Con, so I decided to stay home (they screwed up royally when they booked a ‘connecting’ flight that didn’t connect with my first leg, and by the time they told me, it was too late to get on one that would make it there in time). US Airways, I will rant against you here, because after 2 trips to the airport, 3 hours of waiting IN the airport, and 4 hours of waiting on hold/transfered between 6 different lines (none of whom seemed to know what they were doing)… I didn’t end up getting on a single plane!

However, I do have my spies on the Comic Con floor, and we have some mild spoilers and a not-so-mild spoiler/rumor as a result. These are mostly courtesy of my friend John (AKA ’sculpey’ on the forums) who attended the panel at 10:30, who I just got off the phone with; he gave some good details about what they said, including major spoilers for S3. To give people an idea, the panel this year includes Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, Bryan Burk, Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin). The ‘wildish’ spoiler at the end is from a friend of a friend who attended the DVD party, and I am not vouching for the reliability as much as the other stuff, but I’m posting it, and you can be the judge. Ahh, *just* as I am about to get ready to leave for the weekend, the ARG finally decides to update. :)

Her newest posts on RachelBlake.com are images of a note to GidgetGirl and clues to Spider Protocol. They point us in the direction of the Retrievers of Truth, but now none of the passwords work for here.

Meanwhile, over AIM, DSLerator and iobiSeeingYou (the two loyal in-game personas left) were giving clues to look into someone named Pedro Armendariz, an actor. He played in the movie adaptation of “The Pearl”, by John Steinbeck; it turns out that Steinbeck is the new ROT password. This in turn leads to RicherDeeperBroader.com, where clicking on the “Fuel Passions” link and then clicking on the small lighted building just below the text on the left-hand side of the screen opens a password window with a login box. The login and password is on the message board already:

EDIT 7/21: The name/pw is correct, but a LOT of people are having trouble viewing the video due to the huge size. Please see comments section for the YouTube video, which is much easier to view.

With the “Fixer”’s help, Rachel ends up with Darla’s (AKA GidgetGirl’s) apartment key, and goes exploring. Turns out she left her a few gifts before she died, including a fake ID pass, tickets to Sri Lanka, classified info on Spider Protocol, a map of the Helgus Antonius, and a video of Darla herself before she ran off (unbeknownst to her, only to be killed). The last thing Rachel says on the video before she gets cut off is about the Helgus being a hospital ship… and asking why all the wards on board are quarantined…

Rachel says in her newest post that she ended up in Sri Lanka, apparently she used the ticket and is on the tails of this story. As many may recall, Darla’s voice first appeared on the 877 HANSORG number, leaving a voice message for Hugh that Sri Lanka “just wasn’t right”. It’s a dangerous situation!
